‘One Light’ celebrates the oneness of humanity in the footsteps of Guru Nanak (15th Century India) who traveled thousands of miles and reached out to millions in the conflicted world to impart the message of One God, One humanity. In this film a 13 year old from suburban Atlanta takes on a project to reach out to his neighbors. The mission is to connect, drawing on similarities, and inspiring each other to take a baby step in the direction of making this world a better place.

One Light (A Video by 13 year old Angad Singh)
September 5th, 2007 Email This Post
The SikhNet Youth Online Film Festival has begun! We received about 40 videos from all over the world and every day we will feature a few of them for you all to watch. Here is one of my first picks by a 13 year old named Angad Singh.
One Light celebrates the oneness of all people in the footsteps of Guru Nanak who traveled thousands of miles and reached millions of people in the conflicted world to impart the message of One God, One humanity.
In this film a 13 year old from suburban Atlanta takes on a project to educate his neighbors about himself as a Sikh and to learn about them as well. The mission is to connect with them - drawing on similarities, and inspiring everyone to take a baby step in the direction of making this world a friendlier place by education, connection and inspiration.

What an excellent pieced of work. I enjoyed it, and can only imagine the hours of thought/editing/preparation this took. Please let Angad know how very proud I am of him, and that if the basketball thing, or the thousands of career options that he could follow don’t pan out, that I can see him doing something on TV!!! I miss seeing him, and their class this year, but do get a chance to see them every once in a while.
Take care, and thanks again for sharing this

you are a real brave and intelligent kid.it is very hard to reach the masses and convey you message in such an effective way.the problem we suffer is because we dont feel the need to teach others about our self and we let the people guessing about us.if we dont tell them what we have how come they will know.we should not avoid such situation.only by talking you can find solution to every problem as in gurbani"hoye ikattar miloh mere bhai, dubida door rahe rahe liv lai".good work keep it up.

Wow!Wow!Wow!
May Vaaheguru keep you in chardi kalaa. You truly are a fine example of what our religion is all about. I am deeply touched by your video production. It is very unique.
Beta ji I just want to add one more thing-we have so much material produced in the past, but sadly, it stays only within the sikh community (on sikhnet and other websites). The material that we produce would benifit more if sent to other non-sikh organizations. Vaaheguru tere uper mehar bharia hath rakhi rakhan.

I am very proud of Angad's accomplishments in the film industry. I spoke with him yesterday to let him know how wonderful it is. It doesn't surprise me that he is so conscientious about the world in which we live. Please keep me informed of future accomplishments.
Sincerely,
Ms. Brooks

Great work Angad Singh + SikhNet!
I am so happy to see how Guru ji is putting similiar thoughts in his children's minds; In UK, (Leicester), there's a Camp taking place all this week long, as it is School Holidays. The theme of the Camp is: "One Light" and it is covering the Footsteps and Basic Principles of Guru Nanak Dev ji!

Angad Singh, you have done an incredible job, your age in years will never be representative of the age of your spirit or soul, remember this as you are never too young to make a difference. May your strength and wisdom continue to be replenished by waheguru's kirpa. Your light will illuminate others around you (as it already has) and will encourage people to look within themselves to their own guiding lights. We are fortunate to have you as a voice for the next generation, never stop believing in the power of your voice. It will resonate far beyond your imagination. May waheguru continue to bless you and your family and may Ek Noor become a global message.

Angad Singh you are a true Gursikh and I wish you well. What our world needs is Naamdhan and this is not given by anyone but by a true Gurum meaning a SatGuru or a Saint /Sant as said Guru Nanak in his writings, the Japji Sahib. We must all seek Naamdhan and we are all praying for this in our Ardas ... Sikha nu Sikhi dhan, kesh dhan, naamdhan, dhana saer dhan ... It will be good for you to do another video on what is Naamdhan in Gursikhi ... Gurdial Singh Sandhu

Hi Angad,
A good try but are you a Sikh or a Khalsa? Read my Book in Punjabi or listen to my Youtube Videos for answers.
There is too much of a brain washing.
Who knows where to download XRumer 5.0 Palladium?
Help, please. All recommend this program to effectively advertise on the Internet, this is the best program!
